Riveting Recollections!

Hi, All!

As followers of this blog know only too well, I have something of a riveting problem. That is to say, my creations tend to have a disturbing number of hand-cut and glued rivets.

So, I thought it might be fun to to take a look back at some of my creations over the years, and list them in order of their rivet counts!

  1. Do I get a prize for saying that this post was “riveting”? I suspect not!

    1. The internet is full of dreadful people. :)
Total rivet count 25,009! Excellent work and perseverance.
At 1mm thickness each that is 25 metres of plastic rod! WOW!

  5. I knew you made occasional works on commission, but I had no idea you sold so many of your creations. I expected you probably had boxes full of them by now, haunting the dark corners of your house.

It's probably best you keep them separated. Too many in one place might be too much of a temptation for the scheming mind of the nefarious Dr. Nefarious.

    1. Indeed, my friend!

Admittedly there have been a few models which I have missed after selling them, but in recent years The Nefarious Doctor Nefarious has become increasingly aggressive and unpredictable, so it has been a question of careful de-escalation!

I am actually considering re-making one or two models as I would like my own versions of them again. And they will make interesting blog posts as a step-by-step thingummyjig.

      Watch this space!
